Aside from the question of whether there are more kimberlite pipes on the Karowe property, there is another point to ponder perhaps.
The geologists tell us that there have been dozens of vertical metres eroded off the tops of the Orapa volcanic kimberlites over the last 90 million years. The place is as flat as a pancake these days.
Is it reasonable to suppose that there might be a halo of alluvials spreading out from the centre, perhaps just under the surface?
