The Company operates in a single operating segment, segment, being the sector of the transformation of quartz into silicon materials and derivative products.

Perovskite panel technology is fairly new and seems to be improving (see wikipedia). Worth watching as this stuff will work better in some climates than others, but it seems that the hurdle of long term stability and degradation is still yet to be overcome. Silicon will be the prominent solar panel material for years to come. Still, another reason for HPQ to move as fast as possible to production.
