Spdr S&P Oil & Gas Exploration & Production Etf V.XOP.W

Primary Symbol: XOP

The investment seeks to provide investment results that, before fees and expenses, correspond generally to the total return performance of an index derived from the oil and gas exploration and production segment of a U. In seeking to track the performance of the S&P Oil & Gas Exploration & Production Select Industry Index, the fund employs a sampling strategy. It generally invests substantially all, but at least 80%, of its total assets in the securities comprising the index. The index represents the oil and gas exploration and production segment of the S&P Total Market Index (S&P TMI).

We may have some hope for a second well on 13

We may have some hope for a second well on 13https://allafrica.com/stories/201609151074.html

That story I just pasted above is from September of 2016 and it was about the collapse of Nocal, but  it indicates that all around Block 13, companies have relinquished their blocks, except Chevron has held onto Block 14.  Chevron drilled a well on Block 14 and didn't release the result.  But the fact that Chevron let go of 11 and 12 but kept hold of 14 would tend to suggest that they have something there.  Or why bother holding it?  And from the XOP presentations we know there were several good leads on 13.  Hopefully Exxon does a second drill on one of the leads that overlap to 14 and the Chevron drill on 14.  I expect the seismic would show what lead the Chevron drill may be onto that overlaps onto 13.  If Chevron has not walked from Block 14, Exxon should not be done with 13.  GLTA
