RE:RE:RE:RE:Use of radar and the effects of empI received a reply from PAT's President and CTO, Dinesh Kandanchatha. His response to my concern regarding the fixed radar emissions was that they are not appling for licensing as fixed radar. My response was that although they may not be presenting this as fixed radar if the emissions are the same the safety regs should still apply. In Canada that means for those who are working around those emissions, it is 6 meters. In the US workers are not to exceed accumulation of 4 hrs within a range of 3 feet and anyone who is exposed at 14 inches is to be tested for potential Heath concerns. PAT's emission field is 0 to 2 meters according to their website. He also mentioned that the units installation would be hidden. This could be a health problem if workers can not knowing keep at a safe distance and for employers to track exposed time.
