RE:RE:RE:RE:patient and systematic acquisition is going on...Sorry I gave a false impression. We are both bullish. I was responding only to the idea that Bellemare might be planing to exit at the apex of the company's fortunes.
I'm often asked, "when is your exit scenario?", from now on, I intend to answer: when Bellemare will have timed his own one! That when we'll be peaking! I'm pretty sure that the momentum is going to be increasing, but it will dramatically accelerate at one point, in a few years from now.
I read too quick, but even then knew your tenor was positive... I tnhinmk we both are oversensitive to perceiveds bashing... I respoded to the idea that Bellemare might be motivated by $$ and only $$, which you did not say, but some basher surely would. And in your reply to me you though I was obkjecting to you as a basher. Sorry, pal.
Enjoy your posts generally, though not so much the Rock idol-worship. As far as I can tell I have made better calls all year, but I suppose he might have a greater than 225% return flipping 10% gains 15-20x over, so I retract that comment. I player it safer but sacrifice the potential for greater gain as a result.
Its easier to gamble whenh you are already rollign it it. I started out with a red paper clip.

When I refer to Bellemare's exit scenarios and was linking it to mine, I was referring to cashing, selling, exercing options, etc. I was decribing that I doubt that it will be in 2-3 years that he will apply is options, sells blocks of shares he's owning, etc. I'm long for probaly 10 years; I won't need that money before, and just like Alain Bellemare, I doubt I will be able to make as much elsewhere than BBD... I wrote exactly that to a friend on this forum two days ago, he can confirm ... I'm in for proably very long and it's a position that is not considered rational in most of todays views on investment from what I see... So, in short (no-pun intended trust me), I never implied that bellemare is in only for profit and would plan to leave the ship carelessly... Like you said, the true nature of leadership is to be authentic, and there's no time limit associated to the trust and personnal investment that true leaders are capable of... And one Last thing: Steve Job had a few runs at brigging Apple to stratosphere heights; I foresee Bellemare experiencing and exercing at least 2-3-4 rounds of exit scenarios, cashing each time and bringing Bombardier where it truly belong.
Thanks for having given me the opportunity to clarify!

What Admiral resigns his commisison right after winning a major battle? When you get it right, why not work toward continuing to get it right even better? Yes the gain will not conmtinue to be 10x every two years... but a solid company may gain 20-50% year after year after year... and come through the hard times stronger than every rival.
If laim leaves Bombardier it wil be for a company that has even stronger turnaround potential.... and I can't think of any!
BeginnersMind wrote: As Bellemare is about to address the AltaCorp Capital and ATB Corporate Financial conference tomorrow, it's useful to remember that not only he's talking for all of us, but also for himself... his annual salary is $860K but his stocks and options represent an annual package of more than $5M annually. We have to realize that the guy is wise, and being long, I'm often asked, "when is your exit scenario?", from now on, I intend to answer: when Bellemare will have timed his own one! That when we'll be peaking! I'm pretty sure that the momentum is going to be increasing, but it will dramatically accelerate at one point, in a few years from now. I intend to be there and gain the same way in my own proportions. And for those worried that it's not good news for short term progress, let's not forget that it would be quite difficult toexit at $15-$20 if this is stagnating at $2.50-$3.00 forever... but from 7.00 to 10.00, to $15 and over, it will be just a brilliant carreer, realizations portfolio, and bank account!
BeginnersMind wrote: Since over an hour and a half now, very disciplined buyers are acquiring shares at a very steady and patient rythm. Is this what the next weeks will be about? Especially after tomorrow's (until Thursday) presentation of Bellemare at
AltaCorp Capital Inc. and ATB Corporate Financial Services where institutional investors will be briefed about what BBD has to offer in the coming months and years? It seems that daytrading behaviors are being replaced by systematic long terms views on this stock, by the very nature of the buying pressure since the end of the year. If it's true, when those looking for quick entry/exit will become a minority of the daily/weekly trading activity, levels will have much higher steps and increments to offer.
