It's not a secret. In this case no news = bad news. They aren't talking about patient acquisition because they would look bad by comparison with competitors that are growing much faster.
If legalization is delayed companies like APH and OGI are going to get hit the hardest. Other providers will have ramped up production in anticipation of recreational and easily be able to supply their own patients. No more B2B sales...stagnant growth...harsh dose of reality.
Being that OGI is a producer though it may or may not be important.
Lets assume they have 1000 patients buying direct, that's great...but there is also a whole bunch of dispensaries in BC. If OGI is selling product to those dispensaries, they wouldn't really be included in their patient count, but would account for a LARGE amount of income and product allocation.
and any argument like "but 'dispensary A' only has 200 patients, they don't go through very much product" is also misleading because *some* of those dispensaries will sell product to anyone who walks through the door and/or anybody who makes an online order(mail order)
TL;DR: Patient count doesn't matter, its how much product they're pushing out the door.
