Birchcliff Energy Ltd. is a Canada-based intermediate oil and natural gas company. The Company is engaged in the exploration for and the development, production and acquisition of oil and gas reserves in Western Canada. The Company’s operations are focused on the Montney/Doig Resource Play in Alberta. Its operations are concentrated in the Peace River Arch area of Alberta. The Company has a 100% working interest in its Pouce Coupe Gas Plant and two oil batteries, as well as various working interests in numerous other gas plants, oil batteries, compressors, facilities and infrastructure. Its Pouce Coupe Gas Plant, which is licensed to process up to 340 million cubic feet per day (MMcf/d) of natural gas, is located in the heart of the Corporation's Montney/Doig Resource Play.

I think the land sale data just further illustrates that Dawso/Doe is an extremely desireable area within one of the best liquids rich gas plays in North America.  I don't want to clutter up the BIR board by talking up my book, but LXE is a prime takeover candidate because of this.  

Birchcliff's land base is superb and management (while conservative) is doing a solid job of executing their gameplan;  I still can't believe how little they paid for Gordondale and how transformative an acquisition it was.  The path to 120k boe/day is clearly defined and acheivable with cash flow at current pricing.  That said, IMHO, the seeds for higher pricing have been sown - the underinvestment in exploration and development over the last 2 years will inevitably make it so.  

Reserves report and ops update on Feb 8th should be interesting.
