Description:

dmg::events, in conjunction with the Government of Alberta, The Canadian Trade Commissioner Service (TCS) of Global Affairs Canada (GAC) and EDC is planning a mature fields trade mission to Mexico City. We plan to recruit approximately 10 oil and gas (O&G) equipment and service companies interested in exploring or expanding their business into Mexico.

PLANNED MISSION ACTIVITIES:

  1. Commercial seminars where companies will have the opportunity to showcase their technologies to local decision makers
  2. One-on-one meetings with potential joint venture (JV) partners, agents, producers, etc.
  3. Market briefing and meetings with government representatives to understand the country context
  4. Networking events

During the mission, Canadian companies will meet with Latin American O&G companies that are seeking to strengthen or add services/equipment to their current portfolio.

As part of Mexico's Energy Reform, the first three of five public bidding rounds have successfully concluded. The fourth, deep-water bid round was successfully completed in early December 2016. The bidding round is expected to bring together a number of operators managing some of the 25 mature fields awarded in the previous onshore bidding round.

The third edition of this unique forum returns in 2017 to connect local operators and international investors from the regions oil sector with global experts and business leaders from key oil producing countries to discuss international involvement and regional development.

Held in Mexico City, the home for many international oil companies, Mature Fields Mexico will feature business and technical presentations with numerous networking opportunities including face-to-face meetings and receptions with operators, service and supply companies.
