A question about the Preferred shares Hi to all,
I check the company's Preferred shares (all series) and I see they trade at a significant discount to par (CAD$25). Why is that? Is this a lack of confidence due to the company's leverage? Does this happen because the Preferred holders believe that the company will never (or be unable) redeem them at par? Is it something else (hope less concerning)?
Thanks in advance for the feedback. I'm holding a few debt-free smallcaps (like Chinook / CKE for example) and I want to diversify my holdings with some bigger cos.
