I'm not familiar with the law, especially with Canadian exchanges, so I don't want to argue about it.  I know the company web site has a toll-free number and email page.

The company may be in radio-silence mode because saying anything could risk a deal that might be in the works, or could lead to legal action if they say something inappropriate, or perceived as inappropriate.

At some point, this will make sense. Hopefully soon.
