RE:Do you think...The news is out, and the price did not drop. HH is a cut and slash type guy. The unions and many of the customers do not like him, but the shareholders love him.
He will drive the operation ratio lower, profits will go up and so will the share price. My bet is you will have about 2 good years of share price rise and then it will flatten out. I do not think he will get a 4 banger ourt of this one though. The Canadian RRs had better infrastructure when HH went in, he avoids spending money on the infrastructure as long as he can, in the end that will catch up.
RRs are very capital intensive, you can avoid for a while but eventually you have to replace and upgrade the road beds. That is very expensive. It will be interesting to watch...........
