De Beers had 2-3 unexplained KIM samples on the west of baffin island. More detailed sampling narrowed it down slightly. Ultimately they where found by doing a line search with a reward on offer for finding kimberlite float. They were tiny dikes not worth finding.
Given that most of the pipes at Chidliak have a magnetic expression, I think it unlikely that big (>1Ha) pipes will still be found at Chidliak in areas already covered by high resolution (<=100m line spacing) magnetic survey.
