RE:RE:RE:ScanMag phantom business address.
This is a wonderful good news, says CEO Stine Estensen in Meloy KF.
Thursday morning came the news that Nevada Clean Magnesium in Canada and ScanMag AS in Norway enters into a joint venture agreement for magnesium production for North American and European markets. This may result in the construction of a magnesium plant in Glomfjord.
- This is a project that has been dealt with a long time and that restructuring the Board has allocated project funds. That project seems to succeed and that it could create many jobs in Meloy is really happy news. We want the parties of luck in the future work, says Estensen, who has the daily responsibility for the restructuring in Meloy.
Here is the press release from Meloy Nringsutvikling AS:
"Nevada Clean Magnesium in Canada and ScanMag AS in Norway enters into a joint venture agreement to produce Magnesium Metal for North American and European industrial markets.
Today morning opened stock exchange in Canada with the news that Nevada Clean Magnesium (NCM) and ScanMag AS (SMA) will collaborate to build magnesium plants in Canada and Norway. Both companies have worked with this in mind for a long time and finally we came into goal. ScanMag becomes a shareholder in NCM to gain access to technology, expertise and knowhow to build a magnesium plant in Glomfjord that we hope will be completed during 2015. NCM comes again in a shareholder SMA allowing both companies to leverage each other's industrial expertise and know-how together to build a capacity of magnesium. SMA participates together with NCM to build a similar plant in the US as soon as you finish your project in Glomfjord. Many challenges remain, not least to get the project most profitable, get it financed and obtain investors, get it finished planned and recently built and put into operation. We who have worked on this is at least hopeful and sees the possibility of achieving this, so time will tell if all pieces fall into place so that it can once again become a significant business in Glomfjord Industrial Park.
Falling all the pieces down the right side it will in any case mean a great activity for suppliers in and outside Meloy approximately 12 months of accumulation and finally will be able to create new industrial jobs in Mosjoen and Glomfjord. "
