12:07 EDT Thursday, September 28, 2000
Storage @ccess Inc., which has agreed to be acquired by Bolivar Goldfields Ltd., has established its first strategic partnership alliances with StoragePoint and Conectium. These strategic partners are the first of many to follow that will resell Storage @ccess data storage services enabling it to become a leading Storage Service Provider (SSP).
StoragePoint Inc., a leading provider and innovator of "any device access" for Internet-based storage, has been approved by Storage @ccess as a Platinum Alliance Partner. As a Storage @ccess Platinum Partner, StoragePoint will re-market Storage @ccess' hosted storage solutions to its customer and reseller base. As part of the agreement, Storage @ccess will assume control and manage the operations of the StoragePoint network, located at a Level 3 data center facility in San Diego, CA, including the support of an estimated 34,000 current StoragePoint users. Founded in 1998, StoragePoint is a privately held Application Service Provider (ASP), based in San Diego, California, that offers Internet users unlimited secure global access and sharing of files over the Internet. StoragePoint is designed for mobile professionals, students, or anyone with files to share, as well as small businesses seeking inexpensive network file management. StoragePoint offers enterprise solutions scalable to meet the growing online storage demands of any size organization. Private-label solutions are available for partners with large-scale online storage requirements.
Conectium, a Gold Alliance Partner, is an ASP that provides end-to-end solutions that quickly allow Mobile Service Providers (MSP's) to establish and commercialize their services. Conectium is developing the Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) opportunity in Latin America and is poised to become a leading WAP solution provider to the region's principal mobile communications services companies. Conectium has established strategic partnerships with Telcel, a Bell South company, Patagon.com, Loquesea.com, Screaming Media, NetPeople, WeatherNews and several others. Conectium will resell mobile storage offerings from the Storage @ccess San Diego facility to its partners and wireless customer base.
The Storage @ccess partnership structure is as follows:
Platinum Alliance Partner The Storage @ccess Platinum Alliance Partner Program is for 1st tier ISP's, ASP's, and other large co-location facilities. For qualified Platinum Alliance Partners, a Storage @ccess team installs all necessary equipment at their data center facility, and provides the Platinum Partner a storage utility offering without incurring capital expenditures. Platinum Alliance Partners maintain their own customers and perform their own billing, but get use of the Storage @ccess network and managed operations at the lowest rate available, and are backed by the highest Service Level Agreements (SLAs) in the industry. In return, Storage @ccess has access to its partner's existing client base as well as future clients.
Gold Alliance Partner The Storage @ccess Gold Alliance Partner Program is for 2nd tier ISP's, ASP's, and other storage resellers and service providers. Gold Alliance Partners maintain their own customers and perform their own billing, but get use of the Storage @ccess network and managed operations at a highly reduced rate.
Silver Alliance Partner The Storage @ccess Silver Alliance Partner Program generates revenue for Storage @ccess through the referral of its services to businesses and individuals. Generating income as an SSP can be as easy as adding a link to a company's website or telling an associate to call one of the Gold Alliance Partners, who will handle the sale of the service. Storage @ccess provides all the equipment, manages the delivery of the services, invoices and collects payments from the customer, and pays a generous commission to its Silver Alliance Partners for generating the sale.
