RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Load Up Ahead of Eric Nuttall!!!Thanks stocksnbonds...I appreciate your comments.
JU...yes, NYX is a higher risk name than most of my other holdings, and I'm overweight but it still only makes up about 7.4% of my invested portfolio FYI, I generally hold between 20 and 30 names). I also keep about 25% in additional monies in a high interest savings account that pays 2% per annum.
NYX was actually recommended to me by my broker 2 years ago around $3. I passed but kept an eye on it and when I started managing my money in Dec 2015 I continued to watch. I got in too early (late summer 2016) but the reasons why I like it haven't changed.
It's part of a (mostly) disciplined portfolio that returned 23.4% in 2016 (including my paper losses in NYX) and is up 1.6% YTD, My overall goal is to beat the TSX. To do so I have to take on a bit of extra risk and sometimes that means you eat it in the short term, but I'm hopeful that NYX will generate some eventual nice returns, I won't be adding any more shares but I have no intention to sell any time soon either.
Best,
El Joro
