The Chinese saw an opportunity. They saw that capitalism is about profits, increasing shareholder value. They realized their citizens were natural born capitalists, living in a failed anticapitalist country. So they decided to change. They realized they had a massive pool of cheap Labour.;So they opened their doors to the west. The greedy capitalists of the West, who were already doing quite well, but were nevertheless operating in countries where sociall programs, unions and increasingly high environmental standards, realized there was an opportunity. They just had to get the politicians on board. Which basically meant convincing the politicians to allow the production of goods to be done in china and other states with no worker protections or environmental standards. So thats what happened. So how does Trumps simplistic bombast change that? If you bring all the jobs back to America, you pay a lot more for the products. Other countries, such as China still make these products. So you put up tariffs. This causes inflation. It also causes unemployment because other countries wont buy your expensive products. Theyll buy them from China, India etc. Also automation has caused massive unemployment in western countries. It will continue because its the only chance they have of competing against the rest of the world. So the rich will get richer and everyone else will suffer. So no, Trump is not the solution. Not unless he goes after the filthy rich. Hes not going to do that, it's  painfully obvious. He;s one of them. So quit with the simplistic rhetoric. It's irritating to listen to, sorry folks.
