Maceys doesn't need hbc

Maceys doesn't need hbcMaceys stock was $44.00 in december and since hbc has little cash on hand but value on the books I can't see any deal by hbc. Do you think Macey shareholders would give up the real estate value by a takeover by a smaller hbc? Don't think so. Maceys will take years to right size it'st business model so there will be lots of big $$$$ write downs. It would take years of time and investments to get the synergies of the combined entities. I was long hbc because of the real estate. To give that up to try to acquire maceys at... I'm guessing at least $42 to $45 a share. So which company would you own here ? Maceys or hbc ? The analysts like neither and don't like the sector. I may have just talked myself into by maceys because doing some digging there are other larger retailers out there than hbc who may also consider a bid.
