These banners include Saks Fifth Avenue, Hudson's Bay, Lord & Taylor, and Off 5th in North America and Galeria Kaufhof, Galeria Inno, and Sportarena in Europe. HBC also has investments in real estate joint ventures. In Canada, it has partnered with RioCan Real Estate Investment Trust in the RioCan-HBC joint venture.

RE:RE:Maceys doesn't need hbcIf I was maceys I would spin out the real estate or hold out for a takeover over $45 per share. If I was hbc I would spin out the real estate and continue with their global strategy. They don't have the cash for maceys. It would not surprise me one day soon if hbc shares hit $7.00 if they sellout all their real estate to try to swallow maceys. Maceys won't go cheap. That's why I sold my hbc shares friday Too risky right now....until there is clarity. That's why it got down to 9.75. It will be interesting to see what happens. I predict huge upside for maceys.....none for hbc.....if they try to make a bid for maceys.
