Back in Sept. when GCM announced their strategic review process I looked for similar announcements by other companies.  From that quick snapshot it would seem that significant positive results (a doubling of SP) over the next 2 to 4 or 5 quarters is typical.

GCM was made for a strategic review IMO with great assets, production, and cash flow, that might be more fully exploited with further investment. Following are the first three that I found (I didn't look for more):

GRO went from $0.95 ish to ~ $1.80 on several occasions over next 7 months - despite drag of being in shale oil.

PME (Sept 30, 2009 Strategic Review Process announced) went from $6ish to $12ish in ~1yr. Over 3 years before PME was back down to $6

NGH (Nightingale )(February 29, 2016 SRP announced) Update June 22, 2016 said substantially all of Cdn operations should be put up for sale & now owned by Telus - presumably a very good thing for shareholders.
