RE:Recent Trades
RE:Recent TradesWell, if the "ask" is $ 2.30, and you really want shares, you will "bid" $ 2.30. Even though the stock is trading at $ 2.12 or whatever. Sometimes, if you own shares, and you really want to sell them, or need to sell them, you offer them much higher than the trading price,....so if someone takes them, great. If there are not many sellers, then the "ask" goes higher. Some moments you have people that just want in at all costs, so they will not wait until the spread on the bid/ask tightens.
Hope this helps.
Also could happen in reverse. I bought 30,000 shares of a company that never trades. Every once in a while, when they dip, I will buy like two shares way above the current trading price, just to try and keep the stock price up. It works for a stock that never really trades. And IMH was kinda like that, but now no longer, more and more people are jumping in.
