This is close to where I live and it's what everyone is talking about.
The word going around is the Prince from the Middle East who bought the Nova Chemical plant at Joffre (by Red Deer)

wants to build it up to three times the size and use the gas rich liquids from the Duvernay for feedstock.

Also rumours that Dow Chemical at Prentiss (by Red Deer) has plans afoot to do the same

Bets are on that the Alberta oil patch will twice as busy as it's ever been by 2020 with the rise of the Duvernay just as decline rates start to kick in on U.S.
