RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:OSC updateEGA has been testing a suite of apps and online support at my school since June 2016 that focus on skill development, rather than statistical analysis of grammatical structures and then developing probablity strategies for test takers. What I meant to say was that the current style of classes will become obsolete. Usually it takes approximately 6 months to increase a half-level on the IELTS. The program we have been demonstrating has resulted in students increasing a full level after 15 weeks. I mention EGA, not because they are an investment, it is a private company. The owner of the company is back in China now working with a large conglomerate of to begin a test of the backend data system for teachers. The beauty of the system, though, is that it improves students' communicative competencies in all areas, not just affecting IELTS scores. My school is creating a similar style system for the CELPIP, with test runs that have shown promising results with false beginners achieving level 5 test results after 75 hours (3 hrs/day for six 5-day weeks).
The scams in China regarding guaranteed results were basically just regular IELTS programs that charged hide upfront fees, sometimes 9-10,000 bucks, guaranteeing that they will continue to allow you to attend classes until you reach your target score.
