RE:WowFirst, we need to see IF the company can raise the cash for the gold play. If "yes", THEN they will spin-it out. They are free shares, so not complaining. However, I do not think it will really move "our" CNZ stock price. If anything, the short-term distraction, may send the shares lower for a bit.
Second, CNZ will be a much more focused company once the gold play is spun-out. Analysts will like that longer-term.
Lastly, we only get 1 share of the new company for every 5 CNZ shares. So, if they sell shares at 9 cents, we get 20% of our CNZ shares of a 9 cent company.
However, if the gold play announces some good news, then, it may climb a few cents, giving us a chance to sell and pocket some cash, so all good.
