RE:197/2 Gas FieldThe way I understand it is the gas field sits partially on another companies lease and, according to Brazilian oil and gas laws, the two companies have to come to an operating agreement before the field can be commercialized. Last I heard they were close, but still had a few things that were hanging it up. Then they have to try to find an end user themselves or put it in to the national system.
Everyone likes to gripe that the management team is just milking this thing, but their compensation is well below average and made up of a large amount of stock options. I know they sit on the board of three different companies now, but they definitely have a substantial interest in not having this thing hover around $.20 until it runs out of capital.
