LONDON (UK) February 15, 2017 – Jackpotjoy plc (LSE:JPJ), the largest online bingo-led operator in the world, today announced that it had won the 2017 Gaming Intelligence Awards (GIA) ‘Bingo Operator of the Year’ while Jackpotjoy CEO, Andrew McIver, was named in Gaming Intelligence HOT 50 of 2017 – Big Shot CEOs.
In winning ‘Bingo Operator of the Year’, the most keenly contested category in this year’s GIA’s, Gaming Intelligence praised the strong growth in Jackpotjoy revenue in the first half of 2016, which was CAD$160.7m. In addition, it also noted the success of Jackpotjoy plc subsidiaries StarSpins and Botemania which demonstrated that Jackpotjoy was successfully expanding beyond its core business but not at the expense of the flagship bingo product. It also praised the strategic rationale regarding the decision to extend the Gamesys exclusivity deal until 2019.
