Avoiding conflicts?

Avoiding conflicts? It may be that FL is a potential target of URU and Kloepper can't be on both sides of the transaction because of conflicts of interest so he resigned from FL.  We will see if URU makes an offer for FL or its deposits.

Also, not a suprise that Trevor Walker appointed to the role as he is part of the family that controls FL and they probably intented him to take on this role at some point.

I believe Kloepper was there to help raise the many rounds of financing the firm needed to get the initial exploration done.  Now that the project is reaching prefeasability and the market cap is in the $50 million range that financing should be easier going forward.  FL may be graduating to some of the small investment banks to raise funds the mining sector.  If so, that would be great for the company.
