UEC News from JapanProgress news from Japan today is there are now 12 reactors that have met Japan’s Nuclear Regulation Authority (NRA) post-Fukushima safety standards. This could bring the number of Japanese reactors operating at the end of the year up to a total of 9.
Here’s a recap: Sendai 1 & 2 and Ikata 3 are now operating, the Oi 3 & 4 reactors as discussed below, as well as Genkai 3 & 4 and Takahama 3 & 4 could be operating later this year.
