Chidliak mention in Finance Minister budget address

Chidliak mention in Finance Minister budget address
Keith Peterson the Finance Minister for Nunavut mentioned Chidliak as an example of exploration projects going forward in an address that focused on Nunavut's future and how we can bridge the gap in funding by promoting economic growth. "Production continues at the Mary River iron mine, and the Meadowbank gold mine. TMAC Resources recently produced its first gold at Doris North, and is seeking permits to expand its operations. Last week Agnico Eagle gave the go ahead on its Meliadine and Amaruq projects. And other projects continue to advance, including Chidliak, Izok Corridor, Whale Tail, and Back River. "To attract more money for infrastructure, Angnakak would like to see creative funding solutions implemented with a focus on developing natural resources like mining and fisheries. Nunavut's Senator Dennis Patterson agreed infrastructure projects need more attention from the federal government." - CBC News article
