Looking for a explanation to the trading pattern

I hold 800k shares of umb at 4.5 cents. This morning before market open I put up 278000 shares for sale at 7.5 cents and was pretty much glued to the screen till my order filled. My order was first in line since before market open today at 7.5 cents. Well it took almost 6 hrs before my order filled. Having said that their were times that the volume kept changing and neither the bids or asks were changed. I don't get that. Does anyone know why that is? So almost 2 million shares traded today and I would say only abt 400k were bought at ask which included my 278k. The rest were sold at bid. Should be an interesting week next week.
