So if you see buys and sells on TMXmoney and they do not ultimately show up on SEDI or canadianinsider assume it was a large fund manager responsible.


Very interesting, I've never heard that before, and it doesn't seem to agree with the information stated on the TMX insider activity page.  (Click on "Important Information".  The definition of "insider" is the usual one; basically an NEO or 10%+ owner.)
