Canada and other third world nations literally give away thier natural resources. The world needs these resources for growth. The forest industry should organize and attack the root of the problem "low prices for a valuable product". If they were on big collective, they could pull of an OPEC. Oil prices in 1970 prices adjusted for inflation are still very cheap. Its just we all expect cheap oil to continue and cheap forest products.
