Conference call information we may have missed....
Mr Davis: "we will proactively and openly engage and share benefits with our many stakeholders". Sounds a bit cryptic but I guess it means they openly communicate with their large holders. As far as the sharing benefits I do not know what he meant by that. More from Davis: "we believe the largest underlying value in Nevsun is Timok and the market does not yet understand how much value that might be". That is pretty much self explanatory. He also said about the board of directors that they "expect to have more change at the AGM in May". Sounds like they are really shaking things up. Frazier Bourchier speaking about the copper issue at Bisha "So the recent success the past 4 weeks, probably 80% of the time we are producing pretty decent copper con". So why guide only 10 to 20 million lbs of copper this year? " That's because we are being pedantic and thorough in our approach to make sure that we have clearly identified both what drives the pre-activation of the sphalerite and understanding the ore body and then managing that accordigly". He continues: " So one might argue we are being somewhat conservative but this is the chemistry issue that we are working through and we don't want to prematurely jump to any conclusions that we have this magically solved". Straight and to the point with the conservative guidance. Better to beat than miss again. I say they may have a good handle on this in another month or two and may easily reach or top the 20 million lbs this year. He said they have been making certain changes during the last month and "have continued trials" to ensure they fully understand the issues. Lastly on Bisha. A question was asked if anything had changed as far as the underground mining study. Frazier Bourchier said "Yes. And it's changed in a good way but again we want to be careful on preferential disclosure". He said everything will be disclosed along with much more in the technical report sometime in Q2....hope this helps guys....bullish as ever especially at these levels...
