RE:plant restarted

RE:plant restartedFor a bunch of technical and design reasons management cannot operate the  the roasting leaching and cell house processes.  Their production would be limited to packaging and shipping refined product and completing the melting process on the WIP that was ready to melt into final product when the union hit the bricks.

At the end of Dec there was 30 - 40000 tonnes of finished product in inventory.  There would be another 2000 - 3000 t of metallic WIP which could be processed to finished zinc by management.  They do not have room to store 40000 t of ingot on site so I would guess a good portion of the finished goods inventory was in warehouses or on consignment at customer plants.   My estimate would be on site metal of ~10000 - 20000 t (2 -4 weeks of full production)

Management production would be limited to emptying the plant of the zinc that was in metallic form on Feb 13.  They can probably ship/produce 2000 or so tonnes per week for about 10 weeks.  After that, tthere would be no metal to produce.
