Venture, you are correct about the recent price movements, confirmed by Kril at the show, I went.
Once the deal for the gold properties goes through, Geo will own a nice chunk of stock and should it appreciate, they will have funds available to continue on with the separation work. The SJL shares would also be funds available to the company. One for ten shares held is what he expects Geo shareholders will get in the new gold spin off company.
I wouldn't expect any separation news until they get it 100% figured out.
