On May 31, 2016, the Newfoundland and Labrador Hydraulic Fracturing Review Panel released a report on the socio-economic and environmental impacts of hydraulic fracturing in western Newfoundland. The Company is disappointed in the report, which recommends, among other things, significant further study before hydraulic fracturing could be considered. The Company is communicating with personnel in the provincial Department of Natural Resources, who have now been tasked with evaluating the report and reporting to the Minister.
