Hey rdgeo,

Sorry if you don't like my tone, but frankly I've grown a little tired of all the whining that we hear from speculators who seem to know little about how a company moves from that of a spec to a solid investment.

Let me premise my remarks by mentioning that I first started trading in the early 70s, and yes I taught at the Sauder School for most of my career. I knew Pez well, along with Bruce McDonald and the boys.  And no question about it, I speculated, even did some day trading over the years.  For many years I developed the "5 spec stock rule", and was very fortunate. However I always emphasized with my students, both at the Undergrad and Grad levels (and walked the talk myself) that there are major differences between a spec stock and a solid investment.

MPV was a spec stock back in the 90s and even as recently as 2010.  However the management team has done an excellent job in guiding it through the Exploration, Development, and early Production stages, regardless of what you and a few others think. I don't need stroking with a stream of irrelevant NRs!  When there is a material change, fine!  The results of the latest sale are a material change. However let's forget the hype that is so typical with spec stocks.  If one needs the old style emotional hype on a continuing basis, my reco is to find another company to play with, as you won't get that line any longer with MPV.

Sorry for disappointing you, ridgeo, but for MPV I see blue skies ahead, and I have the patience of Jobe.

Cheers,

Brit
