Depending on the ratio, the amount of your actual share count will decrease, but the price per share will increase...there is zero effect on the total amount of $$$ you have invested...If you have 10k shares at .20, after a standard split you will have 5k shares a .40... given the float, it isn't the worst thing that can happen...
