RISE OF CADENCE
The business is going well for Nova Bus these days: under heavy orders, particularly in the United States, the manufacturer is hiring to increase production plants in Saint-Eustache, Saint-Franois-du-Lac and Plattsburgh, New York State. On the Prevost side, the demand is relatively stable. The company is installing a temporary assembly line in Lvis to produce vehicles for the Canadian military as part of a contract won by the American manufacturer of trucks Mack, also owned by Volvo. Nova Bus said it owns 55% of the Canadian market. In the combined urban bus and coach sector, however, Volvo is second behind New Flyer.
