RE:Still losing money.
RE:Still losing money.Riverow all the posts you ever make on Tos are negative? More cycles= more consumables. Hospitals are not going to share a sterilizer.... sure throw in sterilized equipment to some courier who will drive and handle sterilized instrumnets from one place to another. Good one. More cycles because they can put all the instrumentts in one load and not worry about different settings and a short strerilization time 40 mis vs hours with other cold sterilization. You think it might be that it is so efficient and fast that is being used constantly?
In my office we use Statim to sterilize instruments in 4 mins. That thing runs all the time. Wew had to upgrade to get a larger one with higher capacaity. Because the cycles are so high , consumables and maintence is high on it as well. VP4 will be the same.
As for losing money, expense were one time costs for R and D and setting up MB facility that are not going to be reoccurring.
Last comment you made was more staff (when they hired a senior manager from Steris ) more costs.
Consumables will be compouding profits, expoentially. Eventually will account for most of the revenue. More cycles = more consumables, more wear and tear on sterilizers. They are over 6000 sterilizers that will need replacing when VP4 is the only standard of care for Terminal Sterilization for duodenoscopes.
VP4 technology is going to take a mareket share of traditional steam sterilization market as equipment and procedures become more technologically advanced - AROUND 12 % Growth a year.
