RE:KUATOLIVES.......
RE:KUATOLIVES.......I can't watch. Reading investment message boards you realize one thing - people will convince themselves of anything when its their money on the line. They're worse than old ladies involved in telemarketing scams or Homer chasing the Thanksgiving Turkey down the river, "It's still good! It's still good!"
Some schmuck who visits BTI and says he's going to make some money playing momentum or dead cat bounces, or whatever, has a WAY better investment strategy than the other schmucks who profess A) To understand the technology (No you don't, whatever you've read, No you don't)), and B) To understand the technical details of its competition. Even if you had PHD's in microbiology and chemistry you'd still be out to lunch on the true feasibility of crossing the BBB because - Hey! - Nobody has done it yet in a human! But hey, apparantly when you do finally get enough education to understand all the angles - you end up spending your day on stockhouse.com passing on this sacred knowledge to others.
Technology aside, BTI, after 9 years has:
-No revenue.
-No patents that anyone apparantly wants or will pay very little for, or doesn't think they can completely sidestep or crush into the ground with legal challenges
-No human trials on the radar.
-Never so much as ferried a single drug into the brain of a chimp (except maybe jdstox).
-Anything resembling a business plan other than "magic happens here."
-Zero ability to fight off patent challenges or theft of IP.
-One resignation away from a complete meltdown of the research.
I'm sure BTI will put out some more papers etc and you might see some pop here and there, but as a long term investment - uh - you might as well snort some drugs the old fashioned way.
.02 (or the eventual target price of BTI in a couple of years)
