I continue to hear that foreign money is moving into Vancouver commercial and industrial real estate given they are exempt from the 15% tax. Your vacancy observations appear to be potentially both negative and positive. IMHO A high vacancy rate makes owners compete on price to attract renters. However, if AVO sells the building, the new owner would have an immediate renter, Avigilon.
I am no real estate expert so my analysis could be flawed.
