It's really an extraordinary discovery. I prefer these high grade deposits. Low grade, bulk tonnage tends to plunge in value as soon as commodity prices decline. In today's stagnant mining climate they are a non-starter for most investors. With very low OPEX, IVN has an option to go right to production with a very rapid payback on debt, or sell to the Chinese, who have turned the DRC into a prime target for mineral acquisitions. Not only did Friedland find another monster deposit, but it also seems he found the right partner. Very compelling story.
