getting tax pools to follow when it is strictly a share sale/ merger is hard enough.. Yet all this time all I had to do was just buys the assets. And never worry about the debts,  Expand your thinking a little how is this were true how companies would be able to transfer assets with tax pools while shedding any non direct liabilities.   There would be a line up for companies to be filing for BIA . The whole lending system for Cadada O &G  would be turned upside down. There would never be any type of unsecured lending.
I've tried your way, I've been there CRA shot that down. I will endeavour to find a link for some precedence,  when I get more time.  In an effort to help you quench your thirst.
