Food for thought: Warren buffet on investing

Food for thought: Warren buffet on investing For those of you who are impatient and want Goodman to deploy capital asap, have a read of this article: https://www.google.ca/amp/www.cnbc.com/amp/2017/02/02/warren-buffett-simplifies-investing-with-a-baseball-analogy.html

There is no point in swinging at pitches not within your sweet spot. However once one comes within your sweet spot, swing away. Goodman will invest his capital only when he finds a company (or companies) that are within his "circle of competence" and will ignore impatient people telling him to just "swing away" at anything he sees.

As buffet says ""If you aren't willing to own a stock for 10 years, don't even think about owning it for 10 minutes.".
