The 5000 ton figure is the projected year one output.  If memory serves the EPA calls for a gradual ramp up to 15000 tons/yr by year 7 and a mine life of 27yrs where approx 10% of the resource is exhausted.  In the latest interview Don Baxter stated these estimates are low and he expects Alabama will exceed these projections.  The resource contains 3 - 4 million tons of graphite?  They have the graphite to supply large battery producers it just a question of how much of the resource they are going to use.  You can find everything you need to know about Alabama Graphite on their web site, take the time to read the material and then let us know how you feel CSPG compares with SJL.
