The Cat is Out of the Bag...I don't know if everybody else feels the same way, but it feels to me like there's been a "sea-change" in the legalization zeitgeist. There is a widespread sense now in the media and elsewhere that this is happening. It's really not a matter of if anymore, but when and how. It sounds like we'll have legislation tabled within two weeks, which is the biggest step yet in de-risking and legitimating this sector for many investors and funds.
As per rollout, Blair's comments are just his typically sober and conservative counter-weight to keep expectations balanced. I could see actual rollout being within a couple of months before or after the leaked July date. Much has been made about the complicated process of ironing out distribution etc, but most of the provinces already have a framework for how they'll move forward, and honestly, it's not like we're sending a man into space.
We'll probably hear a lot more about expansion plans and M&A once everybody has taken a look at the details of the bill. Weed, and WEED, are going to be dominating the airwaves more and more until that magical day when the floodgates open and the first recreational gram is sold. Make money, stay long on CGC ;) GLTA
