RE:RE:Schiff, is EOM in the Paroma?GLW is no more in the Paramo than EOM is. The conditions are not present on either property. GLW is home to one of the oldest active mines in Colombia. The issue is the definition of Paramo, and more specifically the blanket elevation that has been applied.
While the actual environmental conditions are not present, GLW and the lions share of EOMs properties lie above the current elevation that the Paramo definition is based on. That is why many believe that Santos will eventually raise the elevation within the definition to roughly, if not exactly, where they defined the National Park boundries. It makes no sense what so ever to have a blanket definition based on the elevation, without considering the actual environmental conditions of the land.
GLW's project is not impacted by the Park boundries. If, and when, the Paramo elevation is raised to the Park boundries, Vetas is back in action.
