I was hoping that Alterra would have used the "road show" last year as showcase for M&A activity, but they stated last year (as I recall) they were going to go it alone. Perhaps they will change their mind or alter the course after 12 months. M&A is how Alterra was formed.
We might need a stronger board; voting will be shortly.
The growth path seems OK, but not attention getting. Communication, is not my forte; not sure it is Alterra's either.
With expectations so low (just read the board and attitudes), it might not be hard to beat. This might = opportunity.
Some people you just can't please either way; for years Iceland had a bad economy with a weak currency = everyone wanted to sell the Iceland assets because it hurt earning. Now the economy is taking off in Iceland and the currency is strenthening = now some people want to sell the Iceland assets because this might hurt earnings. If you can't win either way; then you might want to consider selling your shares; I am buying more...
