While there's a definite psychological aspect to higher multiple gains with sub $3 stocks, you really shouldn't just use arbitrary share price value. I'm sure you're aware of market cap being the only true way to compare company's valuations. Because of the variable degree of outstanding shares for each company, share price means little when comparing company valuations.
