It owns a portfolio of hotels and net lease service and necessity-based retail properties. The Company owns over 221 hotels with approximately 37,000 rooms or suites located in over 36 states, in the District of Columbia, Ontario, Canada and San Juan, Puerto Rico. It owns approximately 752 service-oriented retail properties with over 13.3 million square feet located in approximately 42 states. The Company’s net lease portfolio is occupied by over 175 tenants, which is operating approximately 137 brands in over 21 industries. The Company's net lease portfolio is leased to tenants that include travel centers, quick service and casual dining restaurants, movie theaters, health and fitness centers, grocery stores, automotive parts and services and other businesses in service-oriented and necessity-based industries.

THRK has some good observations about the Board situation. the dissident shareholder was concerned about 2 members of the Board. The Chair he felt was not in touch with the needs of the shareholders and Mr. Hamilton as a member of management was taking up an important seat that an independent director could use. He did force a re-voting of shares at the annual meeting, which did not change the outcome for this year, but it did show us there is an interest for change. If one looks at the results that were posted in the Globe on Friday, only 2 directors received basically less than 91% of the shares voted, namely Maggs and Hamilton. Whereas the rest of the board received in excess of 96% of the votes cast. I think there is an interest to make changes to the Board so it will be interesting to see what the numbers bring next year after people reflect on the discussions at this years annual meetin.
